If the injury was really that bad wouldn't have he gone to the hospital? Penn to his credit has never used the injury as an excuse and gave all credit to Matt Hughes which is why I give the guy props.

This is not giving the guy props. This is raising the age-old question BJ haters raise about whether the injury played a significant role in the loss. I would have said it was beneath you, but I think BJ utterly handing Sherk his ass bothers you more than you let on.

Its just the fans that blindly root for BJ Penn and are unwilling to accpet the fact that the guy could be human and that he may have to lost to GSP, Pulver, Hughes, or anyone else for that matter legitly. Pretty much the fans that believe that Penn would submit Anderson Silva easily and would even hold his own in the stand-up. When in truth, the chances of that happening are slim to none.

There are two sides to the coin, there are GSP fans who refuse to accept that GSP was given a gift and BJ was robbed. I debated with a guy yesterday who still feels GSP took BJ down "whenever he liked."
So blindness isn't BJ-specific.
I've always said the Hughes loss is legit. Matt ate everything BJ threw at him and outlasted him till the third, so he could capitalize on the injury. That's a legit win. Do I think Hughes would win a third fight? No. But that doesn't delegitimize the win, at all.
