I remember during Penn-Hughes II where Randy, who was in the booth, said that he, at HW and one of the best wrestlers in MMA, had trouble taking Penn down, and that when he got him down Penn would often stand right back up.
Hughes is one of the better takedown guys in MMA history and he found it exceedingly difficult to take down Penn in rounds 1 and 2 of their rematch.
Both of the above situations were when Penn wasn't focused as sharply as he clearly is now (vs. Jens and vs. Daddy) and when he wasn't as dominant as he is now.
I think Sherk is in for a world of hurt in this fight. Agreed with the earlier comment that the only way he can win is if he somehow manages to routinely take Penn down and outpoint him that way.
I've never bet (money) on an MMA fight before, but I am going to on this one, to the tune of a couple mortgage payments.
