I had an ex girlfriend who used to do pretty much the same thing. She'd make a big production about leaving, but would never quite make it to the door.
her: I'm leaving...
me: fine.
her: seriously...if I go out that door, you won't see me again.
me: make sure you take everything you need then...
her: you don't have any idea how much you'll miss me...
me: I'm willing to take that risk...
her: fuck you, I'm really going...
me: you DO know where the door is, right?
Much like Tito, she had tremendous potential, but eventually I had to let her go to another organization. It turned out better for both of us.
Ortiz has crossed over from selling a fight to just whining. If he starts actually performing and getting another organization attention that threatens the UFC, I'd be willing to bet they'd take him back. But for right now, he's been all-talk-and-no-action for too long, and I can't see the logic in paying multi-millions while guys are still fighting their asses off for 5+5, as hungry as Tito used to be.
