Jrube i'm not on here to argue of how long you watched mma or whether you research stuff or not. The thing I do want to point out is that we will never know if BJ was really going to gas by the time the third round hit or not. It's tough to predict that considering he DID injure his ribs. From what we saw during the fight, that was the main reason that deteriorated his performance. BJ has gone 5 rounds twice, has gone for a full duration of 15 minutes in 4 consecutive fights prior to fighting Hughes. In those bouts, no one passed his guard. Hughes did it way too relatively easy... you can tell there was something wrong (which was revealed after the fight). Penn couldn't even defend himself on the feet, defend the takedowns or passing the guard... it wasn't fatigue, it was the injury.

I'm not here to discredit Hughes' victory... who knows what would happen if BJ didnt get injured... maybe Hughes would have taken it to the later rounds and beat him still or BJ might have pulled off the victory. But just like it is a fact that Hughes won, it was also a fact that BJ had a rib injury. Nothing will change those two facts.
