0:36 - Herring lands the kick on Nog's chin
0:34 - Herring jumps on Nog's left side and landed his first punch on the ground
0:34-0:30 - Herring lands a few punches got a few through hitting Nog in the face while Nog was trying to block some.
0:30 - 0:27 - The rest of the shots were hitting Nog's arms while Nog was pulling down on Herring's head
0:26 - Herring decides to stand up
0:25-0:12 - no effective shots took place from both fighters
0:11 - Nog tries to take Herring down
0:10 - Nog falls on his back
0:08 - Nog spins back and grabs on to Herring's legs
0:06 - end - Hering stands up, round ends

Thats basically what happened... except there is one part I intentionally left out. That was between 0:34 and 0:31, which was Herring had side control and you see Nog being able to spin straight into butterfly guard (first sign of recapturing control), then putting his arms up at the same time to defend his shots (second sign of defending himself), and then eventually at 0:27 to pull Herring's head down (third sign which completely avoided shots).

Those are all aspects of intelligently defending himself. He wasn't completely out of it. He recovered so bloody quick and minimized any sort of damage.

That's a solid post as always Doc but I'm still baffled by the "Herring would be champ" comment...
