Anti-Fedor threads are getting old around here, and in yours you really didn't bring anything new to the table. The arguments of "Fedor needs to fight at LEAST as much as Roger Huerta to be #1 heavyweight in the world" or "Fedor hasn't beaten anyone worthy of making him #1, even though he has fought the #2 guy three times and has dominated him every second." are great and all but honestly, if you look at it without bias it is clear that Fedor is #1 by a wide margin.
Who could be #1 in his place? Nog is clearly the next best heavyweight in the world and Fedor beat him twice, Randy hasn't fought since Gonzaga (who was recently finished in his last fight), Tim is 1-2 in his last 3 fights, AA has losses to Tim and Werdum has losses to AA. NO decent arguments can be made to suggest ranking any of those guys ahead of Fedor.
Just for kicks I would love to see Tim fight Hong Man Choi, because Tim would be KTFO.

Who did Fedor fight that was past his prime?
Why would he avoid fighting any real competition for two years then all of a sudden have a change of heart and agree to fight a top 5 heavyweight?
Please research what the term "pound for pound" means before you post on it, fighting guys bigger then you should actually help your ranking..... not magically make you lose your #1 spot.

Defend Fedor's actions? Stop trying to make it sound like not signing with the UFC is a crime or something.
You do realize how many fighters turned down fights with Fedor? By the way Barnett was offered a fight with Fedor on two seperate occasions and turned them both down becuase he knew he didn't have enough to time to get ready for the best fighter in the world, and that if he were to fight him coming in at anything better then his best shape it would be a waste of his time.
If you want to use a puppet to knock Fedor becuase you don't have the balls to do so then power to ya
