Yeah, Lee lost to Brian Vera, who's probably most well known for getting starched by Jaidon Codrington on the recent season of The Contender. It was a great fight, on that Lee was winning up until he got stopped. It was a 7th round TKO I think, and Lee was in trouble, but the ref stopped it way too early. I mean, Lee layed into Vera with a straight left right when he got stopped. You might be able to catch the fight on youtube, perhaps.

Even though I thought Lee was winning the fight, he also showed me he still needs a lot more experience before he even thinks about whiffing for a title fight, especially against a monster like Pavlik. As good a boxer as he is, he still gets hit too much and has a hard time on the inside. He still doesn't know how to hold on when he actually needs too and he does get a little lazy at times, which is what led to him getting stoppped. Manny Steward is his trainer of course, and he was proclaiming Lee as being middleweight champion by the end of the year. Even if he beat Vera, at this stage, Pavlik would have crushed him. So back to the drawing board. Hopefully, this loss doesn't derail him. Lee's a good kid with a lot of upside, and this loss might be more like the one loss that David Haye suffered early in his career before rebounding to become cruiserweight champion.
