Everyone knows that Tito's gameplan in almost every fight is to take his opponent down, but how many people have been able to consistently stop that? People with good takedown defense still got take down by Tito even though they knew it was coming and he always had an injury plaguing him. Machida is very light on his feet which will definitely help him outstrike Tito but he needs top stop Tito's takedown.
Once it goes on the ground, Tito is better on top than Machida is on the bottom and Tito has good sub D as well. I definitely see Machida eating some elbows although I don't see Machida getting finished.
Honestly, people's judgment on Tito's skills have been clouded by their unnecessary hate on Tito. Although he hasn't looked like the fighter he was before, he's still a really good fighter and can give any fighter in the LHW division a run for their money big time!
