I am a die hard MMA fan.
I never trained or participated in any martial arts.

I became a fan when my brother showed up to my house with this tape, he said "you got to see this", this is cool.

Before this I grew up watching boxing, my father was a big boxing fan, so as a kid I saw some of the great fights like Hagler/Leonard.
I also become a pro wrestling fan, after that I started watching some muay thai boxing which was amazing to watch, way better than regular kickboxing.

Then when my brother showed me this UFC event, it was like I was watching a snuff film, I have to tell you, this was before the internet and I was more innocent back then, since then I have seen so many bad things it makes UFC1 look like the smurfs.

What attracted me most was the ground submissions.
Never saw anything like that in any Bruce Lee movies and wondered if what I was watching was real.
Of course it got banned up here in Canada and had no way to watch UFC events by that time it seemed the sport was dead, then I was reintroduced to MMA when my brother recored a Pride event featuring Nog vs. Sapp.
Then from there I started watching the UFC again and everything Pride.

Thats it, I don't know what type of fan I am but just love everything MMA..
