He warns fighters about doing this BEFORE the fights back in the dressing room. He tells them that he will not warn them during the fight, but will immediately take a point off.
I'm not sure if I agree, but it's much more effective than simply shouting, "Watch the back of the head!" over and over again like every other referee.
I admit Lensnar's got a case for feeling screwed, but punching the back of the head is probably the least enforced rule in MMA.

Sorry but didn't Mazagatti ref GSP/ Hughes 3? How many times did he warn GSP not to hit Hughes in the back of the head? Like 4 or 5 times? I realize that referee's are a part of the action and it was a judgement call, but it was a bad call plain and simple. There was for sure one solid
incidental hit to the back of the head, maybe a second grazing shot but it didn't warrant a standup or point deduction, IMO.
Uber I respect you and your comments but wasn't the Renzo/Shamrock fight stopped due to a knee to the back of the head? That's slightly different, I could see if Mir was hurt from it like Renzo was, but he wasn't.
Brock needs some fine tuning, he seems to get this huge adrenaline dump at the beginning of his matches, he needs to calm down, control himself and work a game plan. The best fighter's always seem to set things up, i've rarely seen a someone go balls out and be good.
that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
