As long as we can agree on the fight needing to be reset, I'm fine. As Ubermensch has pointed out, we don't know if he was verbally warned or not...but watching the fight again, he does have several grazing shots and two solid shots that were fouls.
The point deduction
could have made a difference, but it didn't, in this case. And if it makes an impression on Brock that he needs more control in the cage, thats a good thing.

flailing around like a kid in a schoolyard isn't striking. He had a great knockdown, but he got frenzied and wasn't making any attempt to control his strikes. To me, that indicates he needs to get some serious training before he fights again.

Brock has tremendous potential, and as so many people have pointed out, losing was probably the best thing for him. So yes, right now, I wouldn't put him top 10, even just in the UFC, but that may well change in the future.
