Don't be an asshole. All orgs (and companies for that matter) exisit because of smart business moves. Thanks for pointing out the obvious in such a constuctive manner. Those business moves would have never had any meaning behind them if it wasn't "the UFC". If Stikeforce had made a reality TV show, free fights on Spike, and created hype by constantly putting down pro-football and pro-boxing it still wouldn't be nearly as popular as the UFC is. As far as cleaning up the sport with legitimate rules to make the sport more pallatable to the masses, it wasn't Dana or the Fertitta's that were responsible eventhough they claim they were.
The UFC was going bankrupt because Renzo and Meyrowitz don't know how to manage a business of that size, but they also had the only marketable name for an MMA org in North America at the time
because they were the first org.
