i think it would be in UFC's best interest to give shogun a pride title shot before he goes for a ufc title shot. if they throw him in there right after rampage, no UFC fans no who he is, he probably beats chuck, and that's that. but if he comes in with the pride title then its a super-fight and it'll sell way bigger than shogun/chuck as a contender.

of course, that's all assuming that chuck beats rampage, shogun beats hendo, and ufc doesn't do that chuck/randy champ/champ fight that sundance has mentioned a couple times.

lots of ifs, but they're all exciting.
