Default Would the Dan "the Beast" Severn be competitive today?

In a recent interview UFC Hall of Famer Dan "The Beast" Severn hinted that he wouldn’t mind getting back in to the UFC’s Octagon.

In the interview Severn said:

“So I’ll leave you with this question mark. Did Dan Severn lose because he got beat by a technique, or did Dan Severn lose because he did not want to do what he had to do to another human being to win?

Oh, I would take a rematch today. I have no reservations about doing those forearm smashes and hammer strikes today.”

Despite being 52, Severn has remained extremely active since his last UFC appearance at UFC 27: Ultimate Bad Boyz and sports an incredible record of 73-12-2. How he would fair against the likes of Randy, Cro Cop and Sylvia has yet to be seen, but it might set up some cool old skool rematches with the likes of Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie.

I would advise letting almost dead dogs die. Severn would be killed w/ the techniques and styles being used today. I think due to the use of wieght classes he would destroyed.
